Tour Itinerary


Day 1 - Depart JFK late evening. Arrive Accra in the eralry AM. Meet, Greet, and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon city tour – highlights include the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum and Park, National Museum and W.E.B. DuBois Centre for Pan Africanism. Independence Arch and Black Star Square, View Christiansborg Castle, Legon University, Mokola Market, and Arts and Crafts market. Accra’s Handicraft market

DAY 2 - Early morning departure for Kumasi. City tour visiting the Manhyia Palace Museum, National Cultural Centre, Prempeh II Jubilee Museum, Okomfo Anokye Sword, University of Science and Technology School of Art and Sculpture and the Kumasi Central Market – the largest open-air market in West Africa. Overnight

DAY 3 - After breakfast visit a Gold Mine and continue to the craft villages of Awaii. Ntonso and Bonwaire bargain for Kente Cloth, Fertility dolls, sandals etc. Return to Kumasi for overnight.

DAY 4 - After breakfast leave for Elmina, drive past lush tropical forests , Assin Manso burial site of the remains of two former slaves exhumed from New York’s Wall Street and re-interred on Emancipation Day 1998 and the “Slave River” which was the last rest stop for slaves on their “one-way” trek to the Coast for shipment into slavery. DAY 5 - After breakfast visit the Cape Coast Castle, and the West African Historical Museum. The guide will conduct you to the slave quarters and Negotiation Hall where our ancestors were bargained for and sold overnight.

Day 6 - Visit Cape Coast University and Elmina Castle and Winneba. Overnight

DAY 7 - After breakfast return to Accra enroute stop for the Canopy Walk at Kakum National Park.Overnight. Dinner hosted in a Ghanaian Home.
